On July 31st, US cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase reported its financial results for the second quarter of 2025 (April to June), reporting that total revenue was $1.5 billion (approximately 230 billion yen), down 26%, and cryptocurrency spot trading volume was down more than 30% compared to the first quarter (January to March).Net profit was $1.43 billion (approximately 216 billion yen), a significant increase from $66 million (approximately 10 billion yen) in the previous quarter and $36 million (approximately 5.4 billion yen) in the same period last year.This could also be interpreted as an increase in people holding on to their cryptocurrencies rather than buying and selling them.
