Sure it would be better to just have one. But you can't stop people from starting new exchanges, neither do I think we should limit the freedom to do that. It's a free market.
True, I'm always forgetting that other people don't think the same way I do :) There will probably only be a few decentralized exchanges that are functional, because I'm sure people wont want to use the ones that have low liquidity. The problem will probably sort itself out.
