Ethereum jumps 50% in one month: ETF staking is a dream come true for investors

in #cryptocurrency26 days ago

Ethereum has gained 50% in the past month, driven by growing hopes of an ETF allowing staking. This sharp rise has caught many investors off guard, especially those who previously favored bitcoin over ether. Is this a real change or just a temporary spike?

A trader wearing a suit with rolled-up sleeves leans forward energetically, arms raised in victory, showing pure excitement and surprise. On the computer screen, the Ethereum logo is clearly visible.

In short: Ether increased 50% in a month, climbing from $1,800 to $2,713. The SEC might approve Ethereum ETF staking by the end of May 2025. About 27% of all ETH, or 33.8 million tokens, are currently staked. ETFs hold roughly 3.3 million ETH, which is 3% of the circulating supply.

Ethereum’s price has soared recently. It broke past $2,713 yesterday, up from a low of $1,800 just a month ago. This rise is mainly due to hopes of a major regulatory change. Joe Lubin, co-founder of ConsenSys, said that ETF providers are optimistic about getting approval to add staking features soon.

The SEC is now reviewing an application from 21Shares to include staking in its Ethereum ETF. This has made markets react strongly. Joe DiPasquale, CEO of BitBull Capital, explains that the rally was driven by renewed confidence in a possible spot ETH ETF.

This hope also caused a quick drop in short positions. Ethereum has been one of the most shorted cryptocurrencies in recent months. The sudden shift shows how quickly market sentiment can change. Currently, ether is trading around $2,628, slightly lower than yesterday’s high of $2,718.

Institutional investment is increasing fast. There is a strong push from big investors to buy into Ethereum ETFs. This steady demand supports the idea that Ethereum will keep growing.

Experts are more willing to talk about big goals now. They believe that if ETH staking is approved in ETFs, the price could rise even more.

Does this 50% jump signal a new phase for Ethereum? Technical signs and regulatory hope point to a bright future. But, investors should stay alert because crypto markets are very volatile.
