Facebook's continued success puzzles me. Over the past few years I've seen it decline into a random hodgepodge of ridiculous memes, prejudiced political rants and overzealous advertising, yet the Facebook masses don't seem to openly yearn for something a little more...contemporary.

Facebook is now like a comfortable old pair of shoes, we'd like to have something new and up to date, but the break in period seems like too much of a hassle.
