I Made $100 Instantly on a $500 Purchase

So I bought $474 worth of EOS with Bitcoin and immediately when I transferred it to my MEW wallet it was worth $566. Why is that? The price actually went down after I bought. You would think I would lose money with the fees of purchasing EOS with BTC.
