Anyone can invest but its the blockchain applications that is going to make it explode. It is just like bitcoin except that it will be used as a payment for services around it... Sort of an ecosystem or shopping mall where everything is bought and sold in LISK if that makes sense.
So you mean it's like a new Amazon?
Its whatever your mind can imagine. Decentralized Amazon, Ebay, Call of Duty... Name it and the developers can make it so if they decide its worth their time.
