Here is the thing, you are finding or will find that this real estate and the State of New York are worthless overall.
Their tax structure is all fiat, that includes school and property taxes as well as personal and business income taxes.
I have had 1,000s of violent and sexual felonies done to me in NY and it seems by NY and that includes child harms and 5 homicides.
If they are willing to victimize children this way, allow others to break the law to victimize innocents, not enforce the law to protect them, and then hope to hold only the victims accountable to the law, that says you don't have a state.
This is why people are leaving. The risk to you personally is too high.
And I don't like the fact they blame Canada, other states, or Muslims etc for this mess.
This IS THEIR FAULT !
This study speaks to some problems related to taxation and this is case in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. It is not unified by law to make property values consistent.
