From September 3rd to 6th, 2025, Sertãozinho transformed its Praça 21 de Abril into a vibrant hub of literary celebration. The city's 21st Book Fair once again proved its strong connection with literature, attracting residents and visitors for four intense days of art and culture.

The event kicked off on the evening of the 3rd, at 7 p.m., when the traditional bandstand in the square hosted the opening ceremony. There, under the lights that illuminated the historic center, a program began that reaffirmed Sertãozinho as an important cultural center in the region.

Behind this achievement is a solid partnership between the public sector and civil society. The Municipal Government, through the Secretariat of Culture and Tourism, joined forces with the Sertãozinho Cycling and Performing Arts Association (ACAC), which took on the artistic coordination of the event, led by the experienced professor and artist Ana Paula da Silva Moura Soares.

The project came to life through the collaboration agreement 103/2025, but it had a fundamental foundation: the decisive support of the city council members who served during the 2020/2024 term. Acácio Tobias Vieira, Cassia Soares, Duílio Machado, Fred (Frederico de Moraes Carvalho), Mortadela Gás (Rogério Silva dos Santos), Antônio Carlos Marcolino, Marcelo Domenici, and William da Silva Domingos allocated essential parliamentary amendments to make the fair a reality.

This union between different spheres—executive, legislative, and the third sector—demonstrates how cultural projects flourish when there is a true collective commitment to promoting art and literature in a community.

The ACAC’s Espaço das Artes (Arts Space) stood out during the four days of the Sertãozinho Book Fair, actively coordinating the activities. A highlight was on the 4th, when Ana Paula mediated a talk, guiding the journalist and author Zenaide to the bandstand stage, where she shared her literary journey with students from local schools.
