These little EEs are kicking butt on that front! The bigger ones, cream legbars (also with some araucana), are having a harder time with that. I think it's how they were raised. The older birds were on bare soil in a small paddock in a very conventional situation, so they had more time to forget how to forage. They didn't need to I guess.

Will they all be put together eventually? Perhaps the EEs can teach them.

They will be. I actually think I'll keep them closer together tomorrow so the legbars can observe. They're catching up well though. I think once that chickenness gets turned back on, it comes on quick.
The littles got out because of the foraging superiority that they displayed right off the bat, but I'm wondering if maybe that wasn't the best approach.
