Glad to hear you finally got that boiler installed. I am working my way back here and in the next few days I hope to be back at it like I was previously.
I've had plenty of other stuff keeping me occupied that I didn't even notice that banner ad but I did see it now that you brought it to my attention.
They have to have some way to monetize this thing and ads can surely do that, but it will remain to be seen what other changes happen.
I am really not concerned on whether or not they tell me to hit the door. The way I see it is Wednesday is my last day there, if they don't tell to go I will be calling in sick the next seven days. They guzbucked me out of eight days of vacation at the end of December so they have that coming to them as far as I am concerned, it isn't like they are going to pay me for those days anyway. Even though according to the way things are supposed to be I should have three weeks vacation coming to me as soon as the new year started.
I have made it a point to let my fellow current co-workers know the reason for my departure and I can tell you that there isn't many people in that location that seem happy about how the company has been treating folks lately.
The boiler is being installed - it's not there yet, and it won't be until next week at the earliest! Apparently the piping is all wrong, so some of the floorboards have had to come up... what a saga.
The owner of the company I worked for before I was made redundant was known to sue people who left before their official leaving date for breach of contract. But it looks like you'll be well within your rights to leave that place. Good luck in your new job!
