Green Day took a while to take off again in music industry as their previous album "Warning" was considered as commercial disappointment. They finally released their comeback album "American Idiot" with the title track as the lead single. It became a hit in UK Singles Chart reaching number 3, while it peaked at number 61 in Billboard Hot 100.
