U2 has been gradually gaining success at that time, and already scored two top 10 hits in their homeland Ireland, and a top 40 hit in UK. They released a standalone single called "A Celebration" after their album "October". It became a top 15 hit in Ireland, while peaking at number 47 in UK Singles chart, their third to enter the top 100. It also charted in Australia where it peaked at number 18.
