Despite achieving success on their album "The Unforgettable Fire", U2 has gained more mainstream consciousness through their album "The Joshua Tree". It remains their biggest selling album to date as well. The lead single from the album was also their signature hit, which was "With or Without You". It went to number 1 on Billboard Hot 100, while making it to number 4 in UK Singles chart, where it was certified 3x platinum. It went to number 1 on European Hot 100 Singles.
