SLC-S25/W5 | Biscuit Pudding
When it comes to making desert my country people is never a fans of it and this is a reason I do not really know how to make different recipe of desserts and so I choose this opportunity to learn it as I have a growing child which will always like the taste of it.
I personally like my child to explore different recipe because yeah she is a foodie of course she is a mini chef so she learns how to prepare it.
So I take it upon myself to read the course outline, bought the ingredients and then carry out the practical myself so I will know how to do it thank you so much @m-fdo for organising this dessert challenge
To begin I bought my ingredients
Ingredients
- Biscuits
- Sugar
- Butter
- Vanilla
- Cocoa Powder
- Milk Powder
- Water
- Chocolate
I used a clean bowl, added the biscuits to that bowl a d bream It into pieces. This will helps the biscuits to absorb other liquids ingredients most likely.
I added all the dry ingredients to a pot that can be placed on fire, then added water to it and place it on fire to dissolved and properly mixed together. While the pot was on the fire, I was turning it so avoid it getting burnt.
As It dissolved I added butter and vanilla then mixed it together then I set it aside to cool before using.
I added biscuits to it little by little and stir to be mixed
Then I pressed it down in a plate to have a good shape and also to make it compacted.
Finally, I added my melted chocolate on it then decorated it with nuts as seen in the picture

Did you enjoy the biscuit pudding you made? Or did you give it to someone else? Can you describe it?
Baby biscuit pudding was very nice Of course when I tasted it, I liked it. So I gave it to my little one which she enjoyed is so much.
You know children with their amazing characters if they can do something to surprise you. My daughter expression to the desert makes me so overwhelmed. She told me that this really that I should love it so much and she says "mommy please can you be preparing it for me everyday? It tastes like ice-cream"
It is not something to be eating everyday but then I'll be preparing it for her from time to time as is a snacks so she can enjoy it.
Explain the specialty of Biscuit Pudding.
It is so special because it is very easy to make, It is a bake free desert that is mouth-watering. Chocolate is very good for the body and so the addition of chocolate makes it healthy and gives that caramel vibes to the mouth.

I understand that people in Sri Lanka likes it so much as well as people in India and other western countries.
Also another thing that makes it so special is that they ingredients are readily available and bringing in together ingredients that makes it looks creamy which gives it that special taste and flavour. The nuts which is used to the correct the top makes it crunchy while eating and that's another special taste it gives you the mouth.
Just as my daughter was expressing how we test like ice cream so that vanilla flavour in it and refrigerating it makes it chill and really taste like chocolate ice cream according to my daughter.
I will see it as a special way of eating biscuits instead of chewing it you can actually dissolve it and add this ingredient to make it taste really nice.
It was indeed a good way of exploring another making of a dessert, I enjoyed the class so much.
List the prices of the ingredients you used in making the recipe, one by one.
