RE: I Learned A New Word Today And The Circumstances Surrounding its Discovery
So let me get this straight... “Dude” Was having a party and most likely got a wee bit tipsy and did something that wasn’t very “sensitive” to some other people. They made a cardboard cutout of some building added in some silly cutouts of “people” and took a video of it burning and posted to WhatsApp. Then he received criminal charges??.... WOW!! Seems like the ”Thought” Police are in full blown attack mode!! Dang!!At least he was cleared of these stupid charges. If they were around when I was a kid, every single kid I ran around with would have been in Thought Jail, possible worse!! In my older years... ya we won’t even go there.
Blackcats and cow turds at my great grandma’s house was always a great time. Getting a dozen of them strategically placed and all the fuses tied together too some time but it was totally worth it. Just don’t step in one as your running away, they are kind of slippery.
So we used to take matchbox cars and put them in the road and wait for cars to run them over. I would like to apologize if these actions offended or triggered anyone. It is just a thing we called... fun.
The stuff they consider news worthy today is so sad. What about the volunteer organizations that travel to 3rd world countries to drill wells for fresh water, bring meals to starving families, Clothe the naked?? What about the good things people do? Instead we have to hear about some rich stuck up person paying $20k for a butt lift or bolt on boobies.
Ok rant over... I hope I don’t get arrested by the “thought” police on this one.
Mono-e-mono, you and I. Very well said all the way across the board and I’m not surprised at all you know what blackcats are.
Ridiculous, right? I saw the news ticker and had to do some research. As soon as I knew what effigy meant, oh man.. I did some serious rabbit holing—what a joke!
And you couldn’t be more correct about the butt lifts and what’s considered news these days. They’ve completely changed the way we think, the way we talk, they actually solidify the way we talk and now they’re altering the topics in which we talk. 🤔 Doesn’t seem right.
The purses and hats worn by the ladies at the oscars is an annual news event but farms lacking water, non profit groups feeding the needy, spending your wedding anniversary and the mission feeding homeless people—none of That’s newsworthy.
Thanks for stopping by @jlaplstts. I can tell I got you with this one. Man.... it got me too.
