I've been here almost a year and can understand your frustration. What I have noticed during my year here is everything changes. Authors who perform poorly for ages are suddenly catapulted to Steemit fame. Sometimes they re-invent themselves. I've been pretty constant over the months. At the moment I can only share my interests which don't equal a big payday. But constancy here is HUGE. Go through the bad times and the good, slowly building your Steem Power, and if there is a price surge, those few cents really can provide a good profit.
The "Steem mood" is a little down right now. I attribute it to the "Bitcoin uncertainty. Post rewards are generally lower. As a "Steemit stratgey" I suggest you fit it in your current life, and consider anything you make a bonus. Don't put all your hopes and dreams here!!! There is very little for the average person that will dramatically change their life. We can't look at the handful and think it will apply to us.
Thank you for your perspective it is a very good one, i myself got caught a little bit in the dream state. I did really good my first month but the last two have been a little pathetic to say the least but im greatful for the hand full of really awesome followers ive got if only for them ill keep putting out content. Your right i shouldnt dip because the mood dipped
