RE: REVEAL: The Final Birthday Cookie-Cake Creation!!!
You made a mistake!
The good samaritan that I am, I'll point it out for you.
but if you mess up a few cookies...
it doesn't really matter! You get to eat them :)
To be completely honest I'd completely rewrite that and have it read more like this:
Make sure to mess up a few cookies. Pay extra close attention to their imperfections and allow for them to irritate you. After you have been decently infuriated, acknowledge that these cookies are not to be served to the guests. You allow for those thoughts to sink in, and notice how you slowly start to let go of the anger and begin to salivate instead.
You didn't mess those cookies up. Far from so.
You only made those cookies be reserved for you. ;)
Hope they tasted as good as they look, @byn!
And that was a fantastic idea with the "cookies"!
I think I'll steal it for my birthday. Cake can be messy even when you're no longer a toddler. Even more messy. Ugh. haha :D
Hahahaha... why do you think it doesn't matter?! Great minds think alike! It would be even better to plan ahead for the 'mistakes' :)
I don't generally even care for cake, but these cookies... MMMMMM
I'll let you in on a little secret... Even if I've done something a milion times before... I always like to make a "test-batch" before the actual event, just to.... be sure ;)
I'm not a cake person either, more of an ice cream person, really... That said, you do know what goes great with ice cream, right? Yepp. It's cookies! ;D
Hahahaha, I never have the time for a test batch! Although there were times when the kids were younger... oooh. I ate way too many cookies a few times and then had to make another batch for them!
I didn't say all test batches are deliberate... some just turn out that way ;)
