Bread Buns For My Burgers
So yesterday, I posted the recipe I use tofill my freezer with burgers, but of course, you need buns for them to go in!
Confession time. I hate the traditional, sweet, brioche buns and their ilk, so this ismthe basic recipe I use to make my buns!
In this recipe, I use only half tbsp of butter and add a few drops of olive oil. I also reduce the salt to 1 flat tsp as I use salted butter and I only use half a tsp of caster sugar...
You have to play about to get your own stamp on a recipe to suit your own tastebuds!
These suit me and aren't sweet, yellow and sickly.
