Assalamu Alaikum everyone. I am very happy that the creativity that we have been exploring through artistic drawing has entered its last week today. This was my favorite challenge of this season. The organizer has come up with a very good theme in the final week. This time the subject is the portrait of a person. I have been able to gain a lot of knowledge about human portraits from the lesson this week.

In order to draw a portrait of a man, I must familiarize myself with the different parts of his face and accordingly I must first make his sketch. Then I will make it realistic by reflecting different light and shadow on the sketch. The reflection of light and shadow is a very important thing in a portrait without color. Today I will draw a portrait of the popular American model Kendall Jenner.

The Process of Drawing

---

Step : 01

• While creating the portrait of my character, I will first draw a circle. Then I will draw two lines along the middle of it. Then I will draw a long line on the right side of the circle to show how long my character's face will be.

Step : 02

• Next I will draw another line above the circle and draw a line perpendicular to the middle of the circle. On both sides of the circle, draw the lines based on the triangle as you can see in the picture.

Step : 03

• Then I will draw another circle on the first circle so that it will be understood that this will be the hair part on the top of the face. And by erasing the bottom part of the inner circle, I will give a wave-shaped shape towards the top part. And on the line that was along the center of the circle I would give three measurements that I could draw the nose and lips of my portrait.

Step : 04

• In this step, you can see that I have drawn two eyes in the eye line part. And I have given a square shape for the nose and I have given a lip shape in place of the lips. After determining the places, I have erased the extra lines.

Step : 05

• Then I started with the hair part of the head and made the eyes, nose and lips parts more fleshed out. I also sketched the ear part of my character portrait.

Step : 06

• In this step you can see that I have made the parts of the face in my character portrait more clear. And I deleted the extra face lines that were there. And I've marked the places where the shadows will be reflected. And thus the work of my portrait sketch is completed.

Step : 07

• From this step, I will reflect the shadow of my character's portrait. I'll start with the hair section first. I have tried to give dark and light color shades in some places to make the hair look realistic. Then I made the mouth brews more similar. Along with this, I have tried to make the parts of the eyes, nose and lips realistic.

Step : 08

• In this section I have drawn each part of the portrait's face more thoroughly. I have drawn the features of the face where I should give a line shadow and I have drawn the ones where I should make it dark.

Step : 09

• Then I give more dark shade on both sides of the cheeks with the help of line drawing to create the Joe line of the face of my character portrait. And on the whole face I make a lighter shade to make the portrait look more beautiful. Because a portrait becomes more lively through the light and shadow of the face.

Step : 10

• In the last step, I will draw the lower part of the portrait. Here I have drawn the shadow of the snout in the lower part. And I have also marked the shoulder part of the portrait with the help of a line. And above all, I have completed the drawing of my character portrait by creating a reflection of light and shadow in the lower part.

I hope you will like this relentless effort of mine. I have tried to draw the portrait of Kendall Jenner's face. Basically drawing is my passion through which I find peace of mind.
