A silky feeling of romance after a long time
Today she felt after a long time that it's definitely a beautiful feeling to have someone with you all the time, but it is an even more beautiful feeling to have his presence every moment even when he was not with you. All these feelings were filtering through the web of imagination of her mind now, the essence of the feelings she once experienced in real life.
But where have these feelings gone until today?
She remembered those mild sunshine of winter or the wet showers of rain, walking on wet grass, or just sitting for hours and humming songs. Now she has lost all those romantic feelings. Now whenever she thinks she is married to Anup, it[s been giving her a weird feeling. She was married to him, but there was no feeling of romance between them.
She now recalls how Ojus used to take her name with so much love. He used to say, “You always look like the moonlight of a full moon.” There is so much I want to say. You should come into my life quickly." She felt herself at the top of infinite heights of love and romance.
Their love blossomed during college days and grew deeper with each passing day. Now all they had to wait for was to get married. The day he got a job, Tina felt that it was not long before her dreams came true. Both of them were sad only because he had gotten a job in another city.
Then there was this phone that kept the strings of hearts connected. He returned after two months, and he was very happy. "Tina, I have made all the arrangements there. I have also rented a small flat. I have collected all the things to set up our household. I will come to your house with Mom and Dad this evening."
Tina was elated as she got ready. She was sure that her mom and dad would accept him gladly.
“How did you even think about him?” When her father's voice echoed, Tina came out in panic.
“Relationships are made between equals."
“You will respect Tina's wish, right?” Ojus asked, somehow controlling himself.
“Of course I will, but if it ruins her life, then as a father I will have to take a stand.”
“Papa, but...”
“Enough…!” Tina's protest was brushed off in a moment.
She had told Ojus time and again that she was ready to leave everything and come, but he did not want to tarnish her father's respect. No matter how arbitrary the parents are, the children can never repay their debt.
He left, and since then nothing touched her soul.
She became Mrs. Anup. She was very happy to receive love, affection, and respect from her new relatives, but in the midst of all this, she always kept searching for the feeling of her existence, the feeling of true romance.
Ten years have passed. In the meantime, she neither met him nor talked to him on the phone.
Like every year, they were making a plan to travel during the holidays.
“Let’s plan a tour to Sydney this time.” Anup suggested, but their son said, “No, Papa, let’s go to New York, like last year. Remember we had so much fun there?”
“That’s why we will go to a new place this time,” Tina explained to her son.
Tina was satisfied watching her family enjoying themselves in the glittering nights of Sydney, passing through the velvety streets, shopping, and eating in hotels.
But the desire for the silky spring and its sweet touch kept distracting her mind again and again. It was Sunday. The children wanted to stay in the hotel and play games, and Anup had gone to meet a friend.
She set out alone to visit Sydney. She entered a hotel serving Indian food with the intention of having coffee.
“Can you get me a cup of coffee and some snacks?”
This voice… Suddenly Tina felt as if a piece of bright sunlight had come to her table and started singing; the fragrance present in her existence has started resonating all around. Her feelings have become like the tinkling by the sweet songs.
She turned around. Their eyes met, and her heartbeats got faster.
“Tina, you? I was just thinking how Sydney’s morning has become so bright today.” The same familiar style, love in the eyes, and innocent smile on his face.
“Ojus! I never knew I would meet you here.”
“How are you?”
“I am fine.”
“And you?”
After that, an awkward silence fell between them. It seemed as though they both desired to encapsulate the ten-year gulf in these fleeting moments.
“Will you ever be able to forgive me?”
“I have no complaints with you. Anyway, distance can never take the color of love. You are still with me. My existence is because of you.”
But I have lost my existence. Tina thought in her mind.
It was evening now, and both of them had to return. But today Tina was not feeling nervous. When she was on her way back to hotel, she closed her eyes and felt as if silky romance had just touched her.

Exitos🙏🏻

Love that is not allowed to be lived is sad. Of course, we don't know whether it would have lasted over the years... The feeling, the memory, the what-if might have a value of its own ;-))
I wish you knew South Asia until a few decades ago. Now the things are different but it was not so in the beginning of 21st century. Half of the population suffered due to parental pressure.
