Good Morning, March 7th, '25
There was an owl sitting on top the bird house in the darkness before dawn. I tried a picture of the owl. But I think it saw me move through the glass. I wondered if it was the same owl trapped, caught in the barbed wire fence that I cut out the fence. Its left wing joint for about an inch was bare of all flesh. I thought it would die but I fed it steak. It flew away four days later.
Yes, it rested here on the snow covered birdhouse.
So the weather of winter returned. After what cause?
- One of the causes has to be that at the beginning of the winter season which can start as early as August, I bought five gallons of gas for the snow blower. And on Monday I poured every last drop into the pickup truck because obviously there would not be a serious snow storm this winter.
Maybe not but, it has only snowed once since we bought it, fall of 2023. That was a week or so after we bought it. Before that, it snowed a foot to three feet regularly.
Of course, there could have been another reason but who would believe that?
That's right, no gas here.
Living away from the mess of city living always carries it's dangers and risks. A surprise that renders you out of fuel seems to be one of those. I hope you don't need it so bad it causes problems.
Enjoy your weekend. Cheers.
No I don't need it that bad, thanks for your concern @hefestus
