AUGUST, WHY YOU LIKE THIS?

It’s only 14 days into August, and I’m already asking myself, “Is this a month or a stamina test?” because it's been testing my limit so much lately.
I ended July on such a high, plans neatly lined up, excitement in my chest and really hopeful, but August? From day one, it has been flexing its muscles at me.
First, the rain. Not the cute rom-com kind of rain, oh no. The kind that pours like the heavens have no off-switch. It’s been falling almost every other day, messing up the internet, power supply, and even my movement. You know how it goes here, heavy rainfall means bye-bye electricity and adieu Wi-Fi. Productivity? Gone with the flood.
And just when I thought, Well, at least my health is fine, my two kids decided to fall sick, at the same time, yeah, you heard right, both of them, in the first week of the month. My husband? Out of town. Me? Still recovering from my own cold. If life were a drama series, this episode would be titled: “Survival: The Mummy Edition.”

As if August wanted to make sure it left its mark, a few days ago, my daughter broke my phone screen. Oh, somebody hold my chest. That’s my main internet access, by the way. So yes, if you’ve seen less of me around here lately, that’s the reason. Now, I can only blog at the office using my computer, which means all the things I’d normally do in the comfort of my home now require serious travel arrangements.
But you know what? I refuse to let August dictate my mood. This month will not break me. If I have to work twice as hard, so be it. If I have to juggle toddlers, broken devices, and storm clouds, I’ll do it — and still show up.
The way I see it, seasons like this make the victories sweeter. So until I get a new phone and things smooth out again, I’ll keep showing up, one way or another. Because giving up? Not in my script.
So tell me, which do you prefer, my real photo or the avatar? lol
How is your August shaping up, by the way?
“All's well that ends well,” is a popular proverb that applies very well to the attitude with which you are looking at things. The severity of problems always depends on the point of view from which you look at them, and in this case, I think you are looking at them from the best possible angle.
It was a pleasure to read you.

Thank you.
Yes, in every situation we have to stay positive.
I can't really say anything bad about this August... We could really benefit from some of your rain, the heat is preventing me from accomplishing as much as I had planned. However, we are never satisfied with what we have... ;-))

The irony of life is that we always want more or better, never truly satisfied with what's available.
