The End of Love

Part- 17: Family Pressure

For a few days, Trisha had been realizing that the atmosphere at home was changing. Especially her father's behavior was not the same as before. He always asked questions, where are you going, who are you with, when will you be back.

One evening at the dinner table, father suddenly said in a serious voice, Trisha, you should not waste time unnecessarily at your age. Your only job now is to study and think about building a career. Trisha sat with her head down. Mother was eating quietly, but her eyes showed that she knew something.

After eating, father said again, one more thing... I hear you are spending more time with someone. I will not tolerate these things. These are mistakes of age, later there will be nothing but regret. Trisha's chest groaned. She wanted to say something, but her voice was stuck.

After coming to the room, she closed the door and started crying. She couldn't even call Rahul, she was afraid that her parents would find out. On the other hand, Rahul was also going through a problem. One day, his mother said, Rahul, now you have to prepare for a job. Stop talking nonsense.
Rahul smiled and said nothing, but it felt like a heavy stone was pressing down on his chest.

That night, Trisha finally got the courage to call Rahul. Her voice was shaking, Rahul, my father has found out. He is very angry. I am very scared. Rahul listened silently. Then she said in a calm voice, Trisha, don't be afraid. We haven't done anything wrong. Our love is not a crime. No matter what problems come, I will be by your side.

Tears started flowing down Trisha's eyes. But what if they force me... force me to make any other decision? Rahul said in a firm voice, I can't give you to anyone. You are the dream of my life, my promise. We will fight together.

Trisha knew that the words were not just comfort, but a call to war.
But her heart was pounding just thinking about what victory or defeat would be like in this battle.
