These poles are for reaching things above you or below you; to pull down or fish up. Road sweepers have them to pick up litter with. As a path cleaner you would be asked to leave your tools in the lobby before joining the meeting of us light workers.
I would have chosen the yellow, as I do for all choices (balloons notably), a preference at last, made possible by the choices already having been made and you only need to collect your preferred colour.
But oh, the things one could do with one brown marker....start on the mountains at least.
