RE: Dream Journal - Flying Dog Caused Trouble and Giant Dried Soup Mix Fiasco
Ha, I am just like you. I have periods where I almost wake up exhausted from all that dreaming. How about nightmares, do you suffer from that?
Yeah its like I am living a second life haha. I have some pretty messed up and scary dreams sometimes, but rarely do I wake up in a panic or anything like that. I find that scary stuff in my dreams takes on that uneasy but at ease feeling, so it makes me feel a little wierd but totally okay with it too. The subject matter can certainly be nightmarish sometimes tho.
One of the only times I remember recently having a nightmare and waking up panicy is when I had a dream I was stuck on the ground and the sky started to come apart into giant spaceships, sorta like chicken little, and I was totally paralyzed. I had to freak out and wake myself up, and eventually could move again. Dont wanna do that again lol.
What about you?
I have always suffered from nightmares, it comes in periods and then it disappear again - everything from psychological dreams with sorrow, fear for my loved ones etc. to strange unexplainable horror-dreams. But mostly I just dream strange silly thing like the ones you describe above. When I have a period of time where I really dream a lot I have that same feeling that I live also in another place... Glad you do not suffer from Nightmares - it is highly annoying :)
I made a post about a book on dreaming, that really gets into living in other worlds pretty seriously. Its a very interesting read to say the least.
I have died, killed and even been raped in my dreams, but for some reason something prevents me from being tramautized or fearful of it. Only when I dream of someone I really love but dont know them in real life, and I wake up from it not having them, that makes me really sad sometimes in a bittersweet way.
I heard once that you experience thing in your dreams so you don't have to in real life, or to prepare you for real life experiences.
I like that theory. I would rather not have my nightmares happening in real life :) Personally I am not sure what to think of dreams... they are quite mysterious for me.
By their nature they are mysterious indeed. Last night I had a mini pet otter-thing in my dreams and now I dont its sorta sad lol. Its really wierd!
I hope that by growing the dreaming community on here we can revive the knowledge of dreaming, like shamans, since shamans really are dream-walkers.
That's funny. The only dream scene I have in my comic is this one: https://phillfromgchq.co.uk/?phill=26&pa=view&la=en
