Rainy day drive
Few days back I visited my second home away from the city, that was one heck of a day. My plan was to leave early morning, I was almost ready to leave and it started raining heavily. I thought I would wait for some time till it gets little slow. But it got worse and there was no sign of the rains stopping. Finally after almost 1 hour of wait, I decided to leave. It was not the best decision but then I had no choice, I had a 2 hour drive and I had to reach before a certain time because there was transport of some material arriving at the destination. There was water clogging on some of the roads which made it all the more difficult.
Normally it would take me half an hour to get out of the city, but here it took me one and a half hour to get out of the city, I was avoiding all those water clogged roads and for that it became a longer drive. Anyways once I hit the highway then it was all clear, it had stopped raining also by then in that area. Though the first half of the road was painful the second half was equally smooth and then I reached quickly. I enjoy rains and I also enjoy travelling in rains provided the roads are clear and clean.
Hubby got very angry at me because it was risky that day to venture out. It was forecasted that te weather was going to be bad. My idea was to leave the city before it could get very bad and get in to my safe zone. In a way I was happy that I made that decision because once I cleared the city roads then the drive was beautiful passing through the mountains.
Clicked some pictures during the drive.
Once I reached home, this is what I see. Actually I cannot see anything and I so love this kind of energy.
Then the rest of the days were peaceful. This time it's started raining very early. Normally it starts by 2nd to 3rd week of June, but this time it's started raining by mid may, almost a month before. Not very good for the crops but then who can stop mother nature.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
@nainaztengra, what a captivating adventure! Your determination to reach your "second home" despite the torrential downpour is truly inspiring. I especially loved how you painted a picture of the challenging city roads turning into a scenic mountain drive. The photos are absolutely stunning, perfectly capturing the misty atmosphere and the serenity of your destination. That final photo where you "cannot see anything" truly speaks volumes about the peace you found! It's fascinating to hear about the early rains and their impact on crops. Thank you for sharing this journey with us. I'm curious, what kind of "material" were you transporting to your destination?
Thank you. It was not a pleasant start but the best part was that it did end very pleasantly and I was glad I did not held myself back
