Agreed. I think we are about 2 years away from that in Canada. Our laws are changing rapidly. All licensed medical cannabis users were just granted the "right to grow" their own medicine on Aug. 11, 2016. We are waiting for our government to release the rules and regs which is set for release Aug. 24th. This is a huge "win". The next piece will be getting the "dispensary vs licensed producer" thing sorted and as another layer our government has promised full legalization by April, 2017.
No kidding aside, our government is not doing this for the good of humanity. They are doing this because they know they can't stop it and they recognize the revenue potential of it. Colorado is the model our government is following and it's all about the tax dollars.
