RE: Easy Traffic Generation #1 - Get Visitors To Your Lead Capture Page
Hi Erik, I loved the video. Looked like a lovely day in Stockholm. You have chosen your office well, my friend.
Tip: when looking away, look up and to the right as that suggests that you are trying to recall something whereas to the left may indicate a lie or rote. Body language makes up 90% of the conversation.
Thanks @ianballantine, and I am glad you liked it, even if I don't think it was one of my better recordings, but I can only blame myself for not preparing myself enough.
And thanks for giving great advice, I love to improve my work, body language is very important, though I think 90% might be an exageration from some over enthusiastic "expert" in body language that only hears 10% of the words being spoken, just ask a linguist and I think they would say the same in reverse.
The areas I try to improve is to be more confident in front of the camera and trying to exclude the EHH and the AHH that slips in, as well as being more prepared with the talking points I have in my head for the video that I am making, plus to speak better English since that is not my native language, as well as my facial expressions and my gestures.
As to what side I go with my head when looking away from the camera has everything to do with me holding it in my right hand, I record my videos on my phone and mounted in a selfiestick (I will buy a gimbal when I have the money), and that means I am looking a bit to the right when I look into the camera, and looking straight ahead when looking away, looking to the right then I would look over my shoulder, holding it in the left hand does not work well for me.
Now to the claim that it's a lie to look left, I just made a search and found this article claiming that there is no correlation at all, https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/the-truth-about-lying-its-the-hands-that-betray-you-not-the-eyes-7936522.html.
Hi Erik, thanks for the article link. Yes you are right, too easy to rely on neuro-linguistic programming! I didn't know that technique is now redundant, so I'll stop using that one.
👍😀
