It was about 4’ deep and I got down to about 3’ because at the bottom of the dam it widens out pretty far... I put in 2 pieces about 20’ long 10’ on each side of the dam, and used thin metal rod to hold it down and in place...use the weeper with the sock, it’s a fabric that covers it... make sure the exit is under water so there is no sound of running water, took me a good half day to do it.... good luck ...
