Haha - cheers, man! Yeah, never really used these kinds of bots before. I feel slightly conflicted, but I found it's a good way for a minnow to get noticed so long as you're not shitposting. I guess about 6 of my upvotes are bots, but over 90 are just regular users. I had the same experience with an older post that was an original music video I had made for one of my songs - felt like something that should have gotten a bit more love. One upvote from a bot later and I received over 30 new upvotes just from regular folk because it put it back on the radar.
Yes I agree it is sorry but true that the network favors upvotes. I think so long as the majority of responses are actual humans, that equals a successful strategy :)
