A Grateful Heart This Easter Day

in #easterpoem3 months ago

On Easter morn, the sun ascends,
Its golden warmth, the earth it mends.
New life awakes from winter's tomb,
The flowers stretch, the trees resume.

A gentle breeze, a robin's song,
Proclaims that grace has made us strong.
The stone is rolled, the tomb is bare—
A sign of love beyond compare.

Thank You, Lord, for morning light,
For stars that guard the quiet night.
For every breath, for hearts made new,
For all You’ve done and all You do.

Thank You for the gift divine,
For mercy poured like sacred wine.
For wounds that healed a world in pain,
For rising up to live again.

In gardens green and skies so wide,
Your hand we see, our faithful guide.
Through trials, tears, and darkest hour,
You bring us peace and lend us power.

We thank You for the empty grave,
For proving strong, for choosing brave.
For holding us when we were lost,
And loving us, despite the cost.

Each bloom that bursts, each child’s delight,
Reflects Your joy, Your holy light.
The cross behind, the crown ahead,
Our hearts arise where once they bled.

So on this Easter, here we stand,
With open hearts and lifted hands.
Grateful for redemption’s song,
For grace that holds us all life long.

Thank You, Jesus, risen King,
For every hope this day can bring.
Forevermore our souls shall say—
We’re thankful, Lord, this Easter Day.
