RE: Finding an Educational Paradigm that Works for your Family
Thank you! It's yet another topic I'm super passionate about. Almost every parent I know - hell, half the teachers I know - are absolutely fed up with the modern system. It's a total and complete disaster. It's doing what it was designed to do, but we just don't need or want that anymore, and they keep wanting to add more hours and tests and less play and arts because they're totally mad.
I was like you. I did really well, mostly without trying. By my fourth year at university, I knew it was a total sham shit show, but my parents had a lot invested at that point, so I finished that last year. It was a total waste. I've never used my degree. Massive debt for nothing. And when I got out, I had no clue who I was or what I wanted. Luckily, like you, my parents also taught me good money skills. Otherwise we would have starved by now. I just refuse to sell off my limited time with my kids for some kind of bullshit job. Would have been nice if Steemit was around 20 years ago.
