My opinion about the 4th season of "Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure"
It's possible to watch on Netflix ;)! I mean 1-3 parts, check this out.
"Jojo's Bizzare Adventure" is a brand I heard about for the first time in 20 years ago. It wasn't particularly special, at least for the people I talked to about it. It was a video from an old fight. A video in which Dio, made of several dozen pixels, made the iconic ZA WARUDO. The years went by, I got to know more stories from the country of cherry blossoms, I learned more and more about M&A, but I never saw Jojo himself. By the time. One day there was information that David Production is making a new adaptation of "Jojo's Bizzare Adventure". I remember this day - many people from 4chana and the rest of the internet watched a stream from Japan. Even a few of my friends watched the premiere and enjoyed every episode. Encouraged by their opinions, I got acquainted with the first series. After a few episodes, I wanted to abandon her, but my friends reassured me that the problem was only with the first part, which almost completely aged really badly. I survived a hard start and then it was only better. I watched S3 during my 3.5 years in the UK. Together with friends from op.com.pl, we watched episodes as soon as they hit the network, and then discussed them. And so we dragged through most episodes, probably only once or twice we missed this peculiar ritual. I specially set up my work schedule to avoid working on the day Jojo is flying. Instead, I went to a nearby Arab for kebs or some other fast food and enjoyed the new episode. As soon as ep 1 "Diamond is Unbreakable" came out, I reached for it almost immediately. I didn't like it and I turned it off after a few minutes. I decided not to abandon the series because I felt it was to some extent the effect of material fatigue. I decided to give myself enough time to miss this brand.
We have abandoned a long journey through half the globe. Mangaka narrowed the area to one city and its immediate surroundings. At first, this idea pissed me off, but on the second try, my impressions turned 180 degrees. It was also pretty cool that the opponents of the "monster of the week" did not disappear after Joestarz kicked their asses. Not that they bring something significant to the story, but it was cool to see the main characters interacting with them, or the type turned into stone as part of the environment. It's always a change that brings some freshness to the adventure games. For the first half I was captivated by this small-town climate. I did not feel like in previous seasons, where I had the impression that everything was constantly running. The action moved forward melancholy, there was practically no main opponent and only at some stage of the story, the leading plot appears.

Unfortunately, the further into the forest, the more things irritated me. I don't want to compare the number of feature holes with previous seasons, but it seems to me that 4 was the most. I defended it at 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but at 4 they started to annoy me. I know that this manga is based on absurdities and situations that are often confirmed by the reaction of "WTF?!?", But I don't like the situation when the hero comes out of a difficult situation "because he assumed the script" or because he suddenly got temporary, intellectual power up. Although I consider the 4th season to be the best overall, at the same time most often in it, disturbed me the end of some fights. I do not treat this as a significant disadvantage (at least until there is a large plot-hole that really receives pleasure from the screening), because it is an important part of the beauty of this world. Another thing is that 4 part didn't give me as much joy as the previous ones. Those aroused stronger emotions in me. Although I liked Josuke, Okuyasu (mainly for his voice actor) and the little one from Ssj1, I like them less than the heroes from previous seasons. Sure, they had their cool moments during which I felt a real delight, but it's not the same as in the case of HxH or DBZ. Not detracting from Araki, his outstanding creativity and unusual imagination, but it ceased to amuse me and began to piss off. I don't blame you, because for what? I defended this fairy tale for years for these reasons. I stopped enjoying it, I'm not getting tired, I'm just going to watch other anime.
Speaking of the heroes, I didn't like them enough to make them stay in my memory for a long time (well, apart from the protagonist of this part and maybe Rohan, Josuke is my second favorite Joestar after Jotaro). I don't understand complaining about the protag - cool guy with a nice haircut. Also a Cossack, like Joestar, but in his own way. It's nice that he is clever and knows how to use his stand creatively (which is absolutely brilliant!). I emphasized new, because Jotaro, old Joestar vel. Sugar Daddy is one of the biggest advantages of this party, and the episodes with their participation were the best for me (the invisible child and heroic act of FTW's grandfather). I don't think that the new heroes are somehow much worse written / drawn than the old ones. I just liked them less and I will forget about them for 3 years. Yes, I will also forget about Kira, because although it is a few levels more interesting creation than the most used Dio, neither his power nor personality have made me remember him. The thread with the hand, cutting nails and his pedantism completely did not convince me and they were simply irritable. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything in the antagonist that would interest me. Although Dio is an incomparably worse created character, I will remember him better by personality and voice. I know an unpopular opinion. Well, let it not be, I'm just complaining about him - KillerQueen was intriguing, I will not say. Heroes' search for Kira and tracking by the kid (off the stage straight from the hentai) was also quite cool. In the final fight I even liked him and for a few minutes I was worried about Josuke fighting him. The fight itself was also very successful. Its result was determined by precise attacks with limited visibility and a stronger personality, which I usually prefer over a simple fistfire.
When it comes to stands, there are a few that I think are overly dressed, but apart from a few cases, Araki took a big step forward. The powers are stronger, even more "different", and the mangaka presents them in a more sophisticated way. I have often been surprised by the author's creativity (grandfather's power from a photo, flower cat xD). Even if he sometimes exaggerated a bit and the finale of some clashes was not satisfying, I don't remember that I was really disappointed in any of them. The level of diversity and scope of stand options is very wide. From simple, such as the possibility of full hair control or blocking someone because of debts, to Heaven's Door and Echoes, which is a nice visual reference to Cell from DBZ. The ability to read someone's thoughts and influence his actions rules. Even better are the characters that are a place-holder for various sounds or debuffs (brewing, increasing the weight of some objects). I was most fascinated by the powers of Rohan and Josuke, with which you can do wonders of wreaths. Destruction and reconstruction can be as effective in killing an opponent as KillerQueen. A few years ago, when I asked my friends about the stands from this season, sometimes I caught my head. I said to myself, "How can such skills be used in combat?" It turns out that it can be in an unimaginable way for me, and additionally - deadly. If Hirohiko had ever taken on a darker battlefield, it could have been a good comic strip. It wouldn't be difficult with his talent for coming up with an interesting story or fight.
I just looked at the first half wonderfully. "Monsters of the Week" were not as standard for the series as in previous games. The case with Red Hot Chilli Peppers (beautiful inspiration from Freezer <3) as well as other threads were also a lot more interesting for me. My interest diminished somewhere over the mid-season and it took a while before returning to the previous level. I was yawning at the stage with Rohan, who was the first to discover the identity of the enemy (Kakyoin and his sacrifice with S3 was much better for me). The thread with Kira, and above all his old one, was mostly boring. Without feeling lost, I cursed many scenes with their participation. Except for one, that from Boku no Pico, which I watched while supporting my jaw fell out of its hinges. I'm surprised that they put it on television. Well, in this country for many years there were magazines with naked teenagers in their Ruch kiosks, so in total I stopped being surprised.
When it comes to graphics, animations, and drawings, it's nicely, dynamically and pleasantly animated. I can't remember any ugly or poorly animated fight. I was watching the revised version of BD. I'm talking about it because if I remember correctly, the TV series had some shortcomings that were later corrected. When it comes to music, I have already lost my enthusiasm for tracking spoilers contained in openings, but editorials and endings are unchanging gold of the highest quality. Thanks to them, I became acquainted with the work of the Savage Garden band. Also when it comes to audio-visual, I have no objections.
To sum up, the heart chooses 3 parts and reason 4. Therefore, I rather stop following this brand after the 5th season. I have less and less time, and things do not decrease (on the contrary; _;), so I remove from the list of things with which I have no emotional connection or I'm not really interested in continuing. Some time ago this fate met "Star Wars", and soon I will say goodbye to the anime based on the Araki manga. Nevertheless, I estimate the 4th season as strong + 8/10, because although I complained a lot about it, the part is not repeatable like the previous one + the author has introduced some freshness.
