You need Scatter https://get-scatter.com
It's similar to Steem in that you need EOS to make any transactions.
I'm thinking you'd need at least 3 EOS in your wallet to have the bandwidth to play. Not 100% sure on that number yet.
But you don't lose any of that EOS by playing the game.
People saying 2 EOS should be good to play the game. See screen below.
