Nods @freebornangel check out this proskynneo account that has over a million liquid steem and only 5 SP, it’s an alt account of vandeberg apparently and delegates that account 100k. They
are a steemit blockchain dev. I can only assume they’ve been paid in steem 🤔 anyway just interesting seeing what a dev might be doing with over a million steem. Seems unlikely they will be powering up lol. What’s that say about a company when it’s own dev wont invest into the ecosystem?

Well, he is in an impossible position.
If he powers it up and reaps the reward pool, he loses reputation in the community.
If he powers it up, and the price spikes, he loses.
Holding it as liquid steem, he is losing.

Although I would like to see it powered up, if he dumps on a spike, it distributes the coins to folks with cash in the game.
This early there is no winning the total prize for the largest early adopters, they can only sell it once, and selling at these prices would be a loss.
But, if anybody is in it for the long game, wouldn't it have to be him?

I'm sure the ninjaminers have their profits locked in by now, if they didn't sell sbd at 15+, and steem at 6+, that's on them.
If they sell now, it's a win for everybody else, imo.

Well said, I appreciate your thoughts on the shituation.. some juicy steem, everyone clamoring about a no programmatic sell from stinc this month and here we have a million iced steem. I might just have to make a post about iced steem 😂

There is a lot of it.
I want to say 100m, but I don't quote me.

I'm not pawning anything for steem lol..

I've been just watching and learning since I arrived nearly a year ago..

This may be as good as it gets for a while.
Rewards are trending up slowly as the 30 day average starts to catch up.
And the whales are flagging, so that should continue for a few more weeks.
It is much better than when I joined.

Yea I can agree on that..

Looks like @vandeberg's account based on this: https://steemit.com/steemit/@proskynneo/account-psa

I'm personally quite happy to see it move off an exchange and into an individual Steem account. To me, that signals a level of confidence in the security of the system and the token value, but maybe that's just my wishful thinking.

cc @freebornangel

In this respect yes I can see that it indeed demonstrates security. I don't think security or the currency itself has ever been in question. The fact remains it's solid tech and has tons of potential as a means of exchange. The issue is can it survive in an industry where fast transactions and dependability may not be enough as stand alone features.

I know if I hired a dev I'd hope that they would feel inspired to coexist within the ecosystem rather than put things on freeze.

Yep, I wouldn't hold it on an exchange, either.
Not your keys, not your coins.
