RE: Your Facebook Censors

in #facebook6 years ago (edited)

Using someone else's work -in this case Warner's- without their permission is stealing. Removing the audio track then should not be considered censorship. What would you do if I hack the Steem blockchain and steal your part of the reward for this post? (Of course I am not going to do that)

Sort:

So the “lawful” now is, do not post any video with music on it, specially if it is taken, or used without permission.

I dont have a quarrel about that if that is the case.

Its a different world indeed.

These are now becoming common, flagging content because something on that content may have copyright infringement.

Fine with me. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Do not post any video with music you don't own the rights of. That's the reason there are libraries of pictures which can be freely used and services which allow you to use their sounds on it.

Good point.
Better refrain from uploading stuff to fb from now on. 🙇🏻‍♂️

Of course when you are using any service, you must agree on their rules. If you don't, then you must leave. I didn't agree on Twitter or Facebook rules or behavior, so I recently leave their service.

But that doesn't allow you to publish any video which infringes any copyright, neither on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LBRY or publising a link into the Steem blockchain. Law protects rights, wherever their property is published.

People have the right of freedom of speech, but also the obligation of not to infringe the rights of any property owner.
