Bloody Crisis: Medications and Diapers become a luxury in Our Country
These publications do not seek to pity or speak badly of Venezuela, I want to share with anyone who is interested and concerned about what is happening in Venezuela and to be able to bring you this information that will give you a clearer perspective of what it means to be Venezuelan and how people live in a country in crisis.
I want to thank my good friends @derangedvisions, @pankso, @cendrinemedia, @erodedthoughts, for being aware of the Venezuelan community that lives in this magnificent community, Many Thanks for the constant support.
The economic situation of the country has affected from adults to babies, as one of the products of first necessity for our children as disposable diapers with the new salary increase became incomparable for many parents.

For several years ago, it was necessary to opt for ecological diapers since disposables were not available on the shelves. However in our case the ecological diapers were a problem for the health of our baby since he is very delicate skin, for more constant changes that we did the humidity in the diaper area mistreated the skin and the decision on the part of the Dermatologist was to eliminate the ecological diapers completely.

Our baby should use disposable diapers and we must change it very often so that the humidity does not hurt, there is also the issue of brands because several that we have tried because they are cheaper have ended causing some type of allergic reaction. In our case it has been an odyssey to get the right brand, in addition to the cost that is increasing every day.
The first time I bought a package of diapers I was pregnant, I accidentally managed to buy because I had the documents that my pregnancy was high risk and the military guarding the tail helped me to enter without waiting, the package was economical, but in the The streets were resold at a high cost of up to 10 times. When my baby was born I used disposable diapers brought from Colombia because my mom came from there and it was the first thing I bought since the change came out cheaper, but that luck lasted little.
Our baby at birth was the first 32 days hospitalized, and we were asked daily between 8 and 10 diapers, at the end of our reservation it became very difficult to get them since we were all day in the hospital and the only way to acquire them was at a very high cost high, however we did everything possible to buy them.
Disposable diapers increase their value daily, on December 18, 2018 buy 2 packs of 22 units each and made a cost of 4,400 ($ 3) Bs.S. 1 week later its value was 9,000 Bs.S. ($ 4).
Currently the cost of a package of diapers of 20 units at an economic price ranges between 16,000 ($ 6.5) and 18,000 ($ 7). The package of 30 units goes from 22,000 ($ 9) to 26,000 ($ 10.5), and I speak of unrecognized brands, ie brands that come from China generally. The renowned Pampers brand of 24 units is at a cost of 46,000 Bs.S. ($ 20).
You must bear in mind that the minimum salary in Venezuela is approximately $ 7.5 Dollars!
The Huggies brand of the company Kimberly Clarke was previously obtained at fair prices but with endless lines, that company became part of the government and is now called Cacique Maracay, the Huggies diapers came to be called Caciquitos but only change the packaging, another big difference is that before the company Kimberly Clarke distributed to pharmacies and supermarkets, and the new caciquitos are not seen in any shelf. The way to buy these diapers is directly with people who work in the company and contact them by sales groups on Facebook, they sell diapers at high costs between 15,000 and 16,000 Bs.S. And comparing them to the right price if they were obtained is 900 Bs.S. That is a big difference.
I speak precisely of these diapers caciquitos or huggies because they are what work perfectly for our baby, do not do any damage that is the most important. However, we have had unpleasant experiences trying to get them because at the moment of contacting the sellers they have tried to rip us off by asking us to transfer money in advance and even steal from us.
The same happens with the medications, the month that my baby was hospitalized because I had problems with a battery that entered his body, which gender was hospitalized for 32 days, during that time we had to fight to get him the complete treatment that counted on 10 bottles of the medicine that you can see below in the pictures, this medicine was not available in the pharmacies and in the places where they had it for sale, its price was approximately what I earned in a month of work in my country, practically It was a lot of money for a medication, we had to borrow some money to be able to buy the full treatment.
It really is an odyssey to do this type of shopping, there are always risks that nobody likes to run. This type of situation does not happen only to us. This happens every day to all Venezuelan parents and many more are returned home without being able to buy this product for their children because the economic situation is very bad and does not allow us to acquire something that is so basic in terms of the need for a baby, and that is only one of the main things, this post would be really long if I name each of the basic things that a baby needs and it is not available nor can be acquired for its value.
Maybe every time you read one of my publications where I open the crisis we're living, they'll think it's a story for a movie, or that this kind of thing should not be happening in this era, but the truth is that if it's possible, that for many it should be something normal like going to the super market, buying clothes once a month, going out with friends to watch a movie, for the Venezuelan it's a luxury, and very rarely do we have the opportunity to do that kind of thing for the rest of the world it is normal.
If you want to know a little more about the economic crisis in Venezuela and what is happening, do not hesitate to take a look at the following POST that I will leave below:
