Manual method of Transplanting Fluted Pumpkin Plant [Vegetable] Into A New Cultivated Land

At a point in time I thought of planting Fluted Pumpkin Plant [ Vegetables] in my gardan but due to loss of water and very harsh weather here in Ilorin, Kwara State I couldn't not but wait until the rain emerged. But I tell you this as a farmer who want to serve his people and also feed the nation not to only sell for people around the neighborhood but to give out as charity that was my aim and objectives for this mission. I later did a temporary seed beds with I did it with a unused materials, here I meant unused 25litres which has been abandoned for weeks or months due to leakage from the bottom. I did a creative solution by cutting off the keg into two equal halves then I poured loamy soil mixed with poultry droppings to add more fertility treatment into the soil. Then I planted the Flutes Pumpkin seeds directly and for several weeks I have been doing manual irrigation system every day till this moment.

I planted the Fluted pumpkin seeds inside for one month before the commencement of the rain proper. But today, I m made a little step forward by transplanting them into already cultivated land use. Down below I will show you some new steps and techniques which I used for transplanting the Fluted pumpkin plants this time around.

Here Are Some Materials Needed To Complete The Task.

• I used this for Mixing the poultry droppings with the soil and I also used it to pack the mixed soil into the polythene bags.

• I used this mainly for digging a deep whole which I used as a planting the Fluted pumpkin plants.

• water for wetting before and after planting the Fluted pumpkin plant.

• Poultry droppings rich in all component of minerals to boosting the planted Fluted pumpkin plants.

• Packing of loamy soil into the polythene bag mixed with poultry droppings .

• Already cut polythene bags ready for transplanting of Fluted pumpkin plants.

• After packing the soil into the bgs, I kept them inside a bowl.

TEMPORARY SEED BED

• Here was the temporary seed bed I planted the Fluted pumpkin seeds some weeks ago, now ready for transplant.

Transplanting Commenced

• Manual method was used to transplanting the Fluted pumpkin plants. .

After I finished with the transplanting of the Fluted pumpkin plant into the polythene bags, I used my fingers to make a deep whole and I planted the Fluted pumpkin plant directly into the soil and added little quantity of water.
