Festive Season Vibes
It's that time of the year when there are maximum celebrations and when you feel lured to go shopping and buy new things. This year I have decided to go low on buying things for myself. Yesterday I had gone to the mall to pick up a few grocery items and all around in every shop there is sale going on. It is so luring and inviting. I did get into some of the shops but then came out empty hand. I want to control my temptations. There was so much out there, that I could not control, so I ended up buying a few things for my home and a gift for hubby. I consoled myself with the thought that I am not buying it for myself, I am buying it for him and home so it's ok. Haha. I know it's cheating, but I could not help.
For this year I have enough clothes so there is no need to buy more of them. While it is luring and my senses go haywire but on the other hand I want to go the minimalist way and only buy what is of utmost importance to me and that what I do not have. I am excited for the coming few weeks. My friends are coming down from India to spend their holidays here in Oman with me, which I am super excited and looking forward to. It's going to be a week long of rock and roll. I have planned their itinerary and we will be outdoors most of the time. Then we have Diwali coming up and in November my Son's birthday and my 30th wedding anniversary. Hubby says he has a surprise for me on that.
I will also be travelling often to India in the next 3 months and this is the best part of it all. Life is about all these little moments and making stories out of it. I have always enjoyed living it this way, that work hard for through out the year and then the last 3 months of the year enjoy in all the festivities without holding back. After all that's what we work for, to live and enjoy life, else there is no meaning of all that we earn. Everything needs to be balance. A life filled only with work and no fun is boring and stressful, and a life filled only with fun has no meaning and purposeless.
Next week I am going to start decorating my home for Diwali, I will put up some lights and do a little Diwali decoration in the home to blend in with the festive vibes of the season.

Hey @nainaztengra, what a delightful peek into your world! Your internal monologue about resisting the shopping temptations is so relatable – we've all been there! I love your pragmatic approach of buying for the home and hubby instead. ;)
It's fantastic that you're embracing the "minimalist way" while anticipating the joy of friends visiting from India, Diwali, your son's birthday, and your 30th anniversary! Plus, trips to India – sounds like an amazing end to the year is in store. I'm particularly excited to see how you decorate your home for Diwali next week. Thanks for sharing your plans and reflections; it's a great reminder to find balance and cherish life's little moments. I'll be looking forward to the festive photos and updates! Happy festivities and celebrations!
