Getting set for the big day tomorrow

in #festival3 days ago

Tomorrow is Ganesh Chaturthi, a very important festival for me. I will tomorrow install the Ganesha idol in my home for 2 days. Normally it can be done up to 11 days, maximum, but it is each one's capacity, not financially, but in the way one can manage at home. Today I have completed all the preparations for tomorrow installation. I have made a small decoration where I will place the idol of Lord Ganesha and also done some artificial flower decoration.

Besides the decorations, there are lot of other things to do also. I started with the preparations from a week ago, so that I do not have much of burden last minute. Here in Muscat I do not have much help, everything I have to sort it out myself and hubby helps with whatever I can. I feel happy doing all of these things, it feels like I am having a very special guests at my home for these 2 days. The whole energy changes. Just when I completed all the decor today, I felt that energy, there is a sweet fragrance in the air. I am feeling like Lord Ganesha energy has already come into my home.

This is the final set up, all completed, now tomorrow will place the Ganesha Idol on the seat that I have made for him.

This is when I started doing the decorations. All of these things I already had from previous years, every year I use the same things, just put it up in different ways. I will use them as much as I can.

This seat I ordered online from amazon, it was all in different parts, and had to be assembled. It's not getting fixed up properly, but I can manage it.

On the back side I have put lights and then taped up everything.

I have put a red cloth to hide all those small gaps

Now I need to make preparations for the foods and sweets that we will be keeping for the next 2 days for our guests who all will come for Lord Ganesha's blessings.

From my trip to India eight years ago, I brought my partner a Ganesha mask. Apparently, it has been watching over us well ;-))
