Wordsmiths Fiction Week 4: Season 24 – The Family Secret"
ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
I am starting from where the story prompt left off; a question remained in Julie's mind: who is Jeremy Kates?? Julie knew she had another brother, but her father had never mentioned a third person, so who is this third individual? Why had he been kept a secret for so long? Julie then asked her lawyer for more information, but the lawyer couldn't provide her with accurate details. Julie decided to find out who Jeremy Kates was, and according to her thoughts, she went on a quest with her lawyer.
Julie began rummaging through her father's old files, and from there she discovered a record of an orphanage, where she also found an agreement for adopting a child; however, the child's name was not Jeremy Kates. Gradually, Julie's suspicions began to grow more intense. She decided to go with her lawyer to that orphanage house. Upon arriving at the orphanage, Julie was greatly surprised by the situation there; it was extremely poor, in a dilapidated state, and there was no suitable condition for people to live in.
Juli's mind began to swirl with more questions about what could have happened here that made this orphanage house uninhabitable. Then she started googling and wanted to hear the real story from the local people there. But no one could provide Juli with the actual information, not even Google. Juli, in a kind of despair, entered the orphanage house and began to open and look through the old furniture and cupboards.
Suddenly, she spotted a small wooden box and, filled with curiosity, began to open it. After opening the box, Juli became extremely worried because she found news that she never even imagined; her father had been in a relationship with a woman named Armin while being married to Juli's mother, and that woman had taken care of the orphanage.
Then Julie's father often met to discuss donations in this way the two were married and married, but Julie's mother could not accept these things, so Julie's mother set fire to the orphanage house in anger and about 20 orphan children including Armin died in that fire, but then Armin's child Jeremy Cates was alive because Jeremy Cates was not in the orphanage house but with Julie's father,
Julie's mother was sentenced to death by the court for setting fire to the orphanage house and Julie was left in a boarding school by her father, and Julie's brother was sent to another country, since Julie was young, her father never let her know about these things and hide it so that these events do not affect her, but Julie thought that her father did not like her and she would never inherit her father's property.
But suddenly she receives a phone call and learns about her father's death, and this incident happens. However, Julie has found out Jeremy Kates's true identity, but she doesn't know where Jeremy Kates is. So Julie decided to file a missing person's report for Jeremy Kates, and she had a childhood photo of him. About 15 days pass this way, and after 15 days,
Julie receives a call from an unfamiliar number. Julie answers the call, and the person on the other side says, 'Are you looking for me only for the property?' Julie realizes it’s Jeremy Kates. She calmly says, 'Let's sit down and talk together.' Jeremy Kates agrees, and they meet at a restaurant on a sunny morning. Julie is surprised to find that this Jeremy Kates is none other than her lawyer.
For so long, Jeremy Katz only wanted to know the reason for his mother's death, but he has realized that neither Julie nor his brother is to blame for it; rather, the guilt lies with Julie's father, Julie's mother, and Jeremy Katz's mother. They are all guilty, and the lives of innocent children have been ruined because of their crimes.
