Friday was supposed to be a slow day. The analytics team at Data Forge on that day was cleaning out the old archive before the migration of the company to a new server. The team lead data scientist, who is no other person than Samira, then stumbled upon a hidden folder called "Project Helios" which was modified 27 years ago. Out of excitement, she double-checks the protocol again.

What she found inside was an executable file. When they open the file on their computer, the code looks strange to them with a backward date. At the beginning, it seemed like a dusty forecasting model, but it was not, as the data was too precious to be thrown away.

They dug deeper and found the following devices and used them: old supercomputers, VR visualisation headsets to map predictive data, and an encrypted cloud server to store the output safely.

The mysterious discovery is that the model didn't just predict the issue, but it knew within an hour if things were well forecasted. Although in a nearby district the stock market dropped, and even a celebrity resigned. On a Monday morning, it predicted something that seems terrifying.

At the beginning, the team thought the modelling was just random probability, but a deep scan revealed the origin of the AI from classified military equipment in the 2000s. The team decided to make use of the AI to trace the source of the coming beach. They spend sleepless nights to get everything done.

Just as they were concluding, they noticed they is a traitor among them who was leaking their progress. Suspicion started. Was it Daniel, the new intern, who asked? It's Kendra, whose brother is working for a rival firm or someone else. Arguments started in the office, and Samira got angry and locked the server of the AI in the supply room and carried out the access key with her to the bathroom.

Daniel said Can we all stop attacking each other if we have released the data to the public.

Kendra replied and said Who gives hackers the blueprint to manipulate our system or Are you insane.

Amira replied and said that if we act carefully, the attack will be stopped.

  • The ending just… stops. You build tension around the traitor but then cut off without resolving anything. The contest requires a worldwide fame resolution, and that's simply not here.
