Assalamu Alaikum..!!
My Dear Friends,

The Unlikely Friendship
Tina is a sharp-witted, professional and smart girl. She likes to do everything within the rules. Tina is a strict financial analyst with no tolerance for breaking her rules. On the other hand, Dev, the marketing head, is always interested in doing risky work together with his colleagues.
The first few days were going well for them. They were having fun, laughing and joking. Tina would find ways to save money and Dev would joke - "If it weren't for you, Tina, our trips would have been more luxurious." This is how their fun days continued.
Dev would plan his marketing team's tours and presentations and Tina would check the cost of these. But soon a conflict started between them. Tina noticed that many details of their travel accounts did not match. Then Tina directly asked Dev, "Have you noticed that your team is miscalculating the travel expenses?" Then Dev got annoyed and said, "Why are you so picky? I know what my team is doing, I control everything." Tina then said angrily, "No, this is wrong, I can never accept this mistake."
In this way, they argue about something every day. Tina thinks that Dev is breaking the rules, and Dev thinks that Tina is trapped in the web of rules and cannot understand reality. The colleagues understood that Dev and Tina are arguing.
One day, suddenly, a project for a large international client came up. The budget is small, but the client's demand is high. If this task is not done properly, there is a risk of damaging the company's reputation. Then Tina said in a firm voice,
"If you don't control the costs, we will miss the target."
Dev replied seriously this time,
“Okay, I will prove that the investment is not wasted in the way my team works.”
During this trip, Tina noticed that Dev was keeping a close eye on his team. Whenever money was spent somewhere, he would check if there was any effectiveness behind the expenditure. This was unexpected for Tina. She understood that Dev’s manner was actually a strategy to put his team at ease. Dev actually knew everything inside out, but he trusted his team.
One evening, they sat on the hotel balcony and talked.
“I thought you were just lax about your work. In fact, you give people freedom, but still supervise.” The city lights were sparkling below and Dev smiled and said
“I thought you only understood the strictness of the rules, you couldn’t trust people.”
On the way back, both of their behaviors changed. They both understood that dedication to work is real. That is through strict responsibility or through trust and humility. Tina taught responsibility and Dev taught flexibility and trust in people. Back in the office, they were no longer rivals, but rather became each other's collaborators.
When they understood, due to the different responsibilities of both of them, they became a blessing for the entire company. Together, they were able to protect the company's reputation through responsibility and flexibility. The outcome of the story was unexpected, their friendship not only created understanding between them but their friendship helped the entire company move forward.
In the end, this unexpected friendship proved that - the difference of opinion born from corporate life can also be transformed into understanding, but it can be the biggest key to success.
