You are right your story weaves love, heartbreak, and the quiet courage of settlement after a breakup.
Don't you think keeping the story in the present makes it different and less like revisiting a memory but drifting into flashbacks which was the demand of the prompt? If you had done that, it would be a top effort of healing, settlement and good adjustment though!

Aunque no acerté del todo con la exigencia siento que que fue un logro para mí dar con un gran porcentaje de acercamiento jajajajaja .
Se me hace difícil mantener una trama en un cierto número de palabras.
Pero seguiremos aprendiendo.
