It could be a great submission if there wasn't a prompt in place in the contest post.
I am not sure why you decided to write two chapters which was not demand of the prompt and that surpassed the word limit x2
Unfortunately, I didn't understand your interpretation of "prompt". In fact, I even tried to ask you, if you remember. But your answer wasn't clarifying: you defined it as a suggestion on which to develop the story, and this confused me even more. The use of the word prompt, especially in recent years and for me, a non-native speaker, has come to mean a rough element to be developed, rather than a stand-alone premise. In narrative terms, what you call a prompt in your posts is actually a prologue: defining it that way would have made everything much clearer, and I would have simply continued.
Regarding the word limit, I should be complaint: as per the rules, the prompt doesn't count.
I'm sorry I worked so hard for nothing. 😓 Anyway, thank you.
I really enjoyed your story.
Even if the prompt wasn’t fully understood, you’ve managed to create something original and meaningful - a piece that stands strong on its own
