"Wordsmiths Fiction Week 4: Season 24 – The Family Secret"

How are you. I hope you people of steemian are good and enjoy your life . Well I am well. May God bless you all. Today I am writing about an interesting Steemit Engagement Challenge S24- W4: which is all time my favourite topic The Family Secret this amazing challenge organised by @waqarahmadshah . So, in this post I am going to share my point of view about this topic.
Story Prompt
When Julie showed up for the reading of her estranged father’s will, she expected almost nothing. Maybe a few old books or that dusty violin he used to keep in the corner. But instead, the lawyer slid a folder across the table. Inside, one sentence had been circled in red:
"The estate is to be divided equally among my three children.---------------------------------------Now Julie is left with questions she never imagined asking. Who is Jeremy? Why had he been kept secret for so long? Does he even know he is part of this inheritance?

When Julie listens to her father's will and hears about her father's third child, tears start flowing from her eyes as she thinks her father has deceived her to such an extent that he has other children outside. Many questions start running through her mind, she remains stunned, as if someone has pulled the ground from under her feet.
So Julie tells the lawyer that she would definitely like to meet this heir, then the lawyer says that "okay, I will find out about him and fix your meeting." Julie gets a call from the lawyer that I have collected a lot of information about that third heir. Your meeting has been fixed after two days, please bring your brother along with you, Julie says, okay, we will reach on time.
Julie reaches with her brother with a mixed feeling of nervousness, anger and curiosity, Max also arrives on time, Max is the name of the third heir. All three greet each other and then a silence spreads between them. Julie gathers courage and starts talking that I did not know that you are my father's son. I regret that we could not meet earlier, then Max also says that I wish we had met in front of father.
Max says that father has given me the same love as his own son, even though I am not his own son. On hearing this, Julie and her brother started looking at him with surprise. Then Max said that I was going for a walk with my parents once. Suddenly our car collided with your father's car and my mother and father died instantly in that accident. I was very young then, I don't remember much but your father raised me with a lot of love.
But just a year ago he said to me that son I want to tell you one thing. Because if I don't tell you, I will die of guilt. Then he told me about the accident in detail. Tears were falling from my eyes, I could not hate him even if I wanted to. Because his remorse was clearly visible in his tears and I also knew the love with which he raised me. He never let me feel the absence of my parents.
Maybe if I had known this thing earlier then I would have hated him a lot, that he gave me a new world, because of him my parents are not in this world. But unknowingly my relationship with the heart was tied with those who had distanced my parents from me.
On hearing Max's story, Julie and her brother both had tears in their eyes. Julie said, "We are very sad to hear about your parents and we apologize on behalf of our father and are also ashamed that he made such a big mistake unknowingly. But on hearing your story, I am also feeling proud of my father that he corrected his mistake very well and he repented."
Those three said that it doesn't matter, we don't have a blood relation, but we have a relationship of the heart and this relationship has been made between us by our father and we will maintain it with a true heart. In this way, they respected their father's will and started living with love after taking their share.

Me pareció acertado trabajar con esa historia paralela del accidente, en el que murieron los verdaderos padres de Max, y de cómo el padre de Julie se hizo responsable de la crianza de ese chico que había quedado huérfano por el accidente que, supongo él causó.
Desde mi punto de vista, el conflicto se resolvió muy rápido. Pero, aún así, me parece genial el giro que le diste al relato.
