Wordsmiths Fiction Week 5: Season 24: The Mysterious Passenger
Hello, Fiction-loving Steemians. How are you? Welcome to another week of the Fantastic Fiction writing Challenge. Here is my entry post for this week's mysterious passenger.
I would like to invite @impersonal, @zulbahri, and @max-pro.
Suppose a passenger disembarks. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . yet she could not verify them.

Mike, the passenger, looked relaxed and confident when he told Mahira, The Lady officer, that his country does exist. Few countries and people know about it because they keep it a secret. There are few residents in the country. Only highly qualified people can be residents of that country.
Mahira asked politely, "If they want to keep it secret, why are you showing your passport to us? Shouldn’t you keep this secret?"
Mike replied: We can't carry another country's passport when we issue this one. That's the rule. I had no option. I wanted to be a part of this country. Only those invited can be residents of that country. They invite very intelligent, elite, and smart people to be residents.
Mahira is not convinced, and she finds this explanation funny and suspects something strange. She asked for help from her senior colleague. Al-Fares, a senior official, came to help Mahira. She explained everything to him in the local language. Al-Fares checked the passport for a few minutes. In the end, he smiled at Mike and said, 'WOW, we are so lucky. We have very intelligent and elite visitors in our country. Welcome, sir. Forget the inconvenience caused by her. I am sorry about that.'
He turned around to his colleagues, looked straight at Mahira, and yelled, "You dumb people. Don't recognize Intelligent and Elite people. I wonder how you still managed to keep your job. Because of you, our country can't progress. Go and do your duty, all of you."
All the staff were surprised. They don't understand what just happened. They know Al-Fares. He is a talented and experienced official. Why did he yell suddenly at everyone? That surprises them. However, after yelling at his colleague, Al-Fares turned to Mike, who was smiling at that time. He said to Mike,
"Sir, I am worried about your security. You are a VIP to us. Look at you, an Intelligent and Elite person. I want you to be secure. That's why I would like to escort you with our guard.
Mike becomes worried after hearing that and immediately responds, "No, no. I don't need that. No one knows me here apart from you. I have an emergency meeting tomorrow to join."
Al-Fares says, "No problem, sir. Be our guest for the night. We will escort you to the meeting, too. Do not panic about that."
He called the Airport Security Guard and ordered them to escort Mike and take him to a secure place. He was holding Mike's passport and said, "Sir, don't worry about this. I am keeping this because an Elite person needs Elite permission. I will go to our Head and request your permission from him. They will take good care of you."
After hearing this, Mike's face turns pale, and he says, "There's no need for all this. Permit me now and let me go. I have some urgent work to do."
Al-Fares said, "That can't be, sir. I can't let you go without entertaining. Please go to our guest house. I won’t take much time."
Everyone understands what just happened. Mike becomes a kind of captive now.

The name of my country is Brainland. Al-Fares was sure that it was a fake country with fake documents. Immediately, he goes to a young detective, Abdullah, and tells him everything he finds out. All stamped seals were from highly corrupt countries. Abdullah took a look at that and said, "It’s interesting. He starts his trip from the most corrupt country. 1,2,3. Haha. Oh, look, sir. He stayed in these countries for exactly 41 days."
"What are we going to do now?" Al-Fares asked.
"It's easy. We are going to search the newsletter headline in those countries after his arrival date," Abdullah replied.
They searched and found nothing. Then Al-Fares suggests searching after his departure date. They found interesting things. In some countries, after his departure date, some news portals published news about money scams. Several countries published several names. But one thing was common: a multinational company offered people a skim of huge profits. They told people their deposited money would be doubled within six months. People deposited a lot of money. After a month, the total company was just banished. No one found a trace.
They decided to inform their seniors about this matter. After a while, a senior Detective came to them and said, "Your suspect is right. But we don't have any clue. We will permit him to enter and do whatever he wants to do. But we will keep an eye on him. Let's treat him like a VIP and see what he does."
Al-Fares came to Mike and said, "I am sorry for being late. Our Chief is very happy about your arrival. He would love to meet you. You can go anywhere, we would love to give you a VIP protocol.''
''No, don't need that. My client can take care of me. Thank you for understanding. Can I go now?"
"Yes, sure," Al-Fares replied.
After a month, a news headline surprised the world.
"Bangladesh Police caught a worldwide money scammer Joshua Dunlop under the fake name of Mike Harrison from Brainland".
Mahira, Al-Fares, Abdullah; everyone is doing their regular duty. They are always ready for another Joshua, aka Mike.
