Steemit Challenge S26-w1: The Office Project
I welcome you to the First Week of Season 26 of the Steemit Challenge, Duration 11-17 August, 2025!
"Steemit Challenge Season 26" brings you an opportunity for "Fiction Writing", allowing your imagination to go as wide as you allow it to, but I want you to build a world of fiction yet full of real life-facts which provide your readers a true sensation and take them to the world of fantasy. Let's see how you create a story based on the prompt provided below:
The Theme of the week : The Office Project:
A group of office mates uncover a hidden truth about their project, perhaps a secret research project or a long-forgotten experiment, leading them on a thrilling quest to expose it. Finally, they reached a solution that brings world-wide fame to their company.
This prompt has a wide scope of showcasing the power of uncovering unlimited hidden truths of collaborative efforts by the team that will take their company to the top of corporate world. I leave rest to your imagination how you develop the twists, facts and sensation in your story.
Points to build your story around:
A great starting scenario
What devices they used, if any
Their mysterious discoveries
Errors and fact
The use of plans
The use of melodrama
The conversation
End of the story with a result
Let's us see how your imagination works for you?
Please note:
A well-crafted fiction story provides an engaging plot, including how you unfold it, what actions your characters take, and how they interact with each other and proceed with the project.
The actions taken by the characters and the resolution at the end are all part of a good fiction story. I will see how you have twisted the plot in the prompt in such a way that moves the story forward and keeps your readers interested in introducing complications and suspense and finally completing the project.
I will read what conversations your characters are having about the project.
Remember, you have to make your story meaningful through all these choices, and your marks will be based on all these facts.
Remember the one who reads these points and, noting how a story will work and seizes the imagination of my prompt, will successfully write great fiction in which mystery along with facts plays an important part, a story which is well worded.
“It's no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense.” - Mark Twain.
Note:
No greetings, etc. but come to the story straight away!
You should remember to make your story relatable, engaging, and thought-provoking, but don't miss out on experimenting with fantasy, fiction, and mystery in your story. Focusing on relatable themes and overcoming challenges will resonate with your readers.
Make your story stand out with an original concept, unexpected plot twists, or memorable characters.
This contest offers participants the opportunity to show their creativity in the fiction niche as I expect participants to venture into the world of imagination and bring out their skills, and create breathtaking stories.
