Hello..!!
My Dear Friends,
I am @rezaul-420 from 🇧🇩Bangladesh

The Unlikely Friendship

Tina is a sharp-witted, professional and intelligent girl. She likes to do everything by the rules. Tina is a strict financial analyst, she has no qualms about breaking the rules. On the other hand, Dev is a marketing major who is fun but practical, outgoing and believes in taking risks. He comes from an upper-class family, with an "I don't care" attitude.

Tina was looking at her computer accounts one day when she noticed something unusual. The numbers were dancing before her eyes, as if they were telling her a secret. She was sure there was something wrong somewhere. She calculated the costs of the company's latest marketing campaign and found that they were unusually high. As she dug deeper, she realized that some of the invoices had been forged.

Dev is behind this corruption. Tina sees Dev through the glass walls of his office. Dev is laughing with his team, his bright smile and arrogant demeanor are completely at odds with Tina's principles. Tina knows that Dev comes from a wealthy family and has an "I don't care" attitude towards everything.

Tina took a deep breath. Her superiors often warned her not to get into arguments with Dev. According to them, Dev has a lot of social influence and trying to do anything against him is like inviting trouble. But Tina is a perfect professional financial analyst. She cannot deviate from her principles. Values are everything to her.

Tina prepared a report that clearly listed all the frauds. She walked to her desk and knocked on the door of her superior's office. Her hands were shaking slightly, but her confidence was unwavering.

When she told her superior everything, he reacted as expected. Tina, what are you doing? Don't get into any conflict with Dev. He is very important to this company. We benefit a lot because of him.

Tina calmly replied, Sir, this is not just a matter of profit and loss. This is a matter of principle. If we start taking advantage of the rules, we will lose our credibility. I have done my job and presented the evidence.

Her superior officer said in a tone of frustration, Do you think this will bring you respect? It will only cause trouble. Tina looked at him, I have nothing to prove my respect for. I do what I think is right.

On the other hand, Dev was hosting a party in his office. Suddenly his phone rang. His superior asked him to meet him. Dev went smiling, he had no worries in his mind.

When he entered his superior's room, his smile faded. There was a file on his desk, which contained all the evidence of his fraud. He realized that his time to play was over.

Dev asked his superior, Who did this?

He replied, Tina. She's a consummate professional. Not like you.

Dev was stunned for a moment. He had always thought that his social influence and money would keep him out of trouble. But Tina proved him wrong. Dev's arrogance was defeated by her honesty and integrity.

The next day, Dev was removed from his position. Tina's report saved the company from a major financial scandal. Tina stood by her principles and proved that she didn't need anyone's permission to do the right thing. This earned her even more respect in the eyes of everyone. Tina proves that ethics and integrity always win.

Dear @rezaul-420, below is the detailed assessment of your submission.

CriteriaMarksRemarks

Originality & Uniqueness2.95/3Good
Presentation0.9/1Good
My observation0.8/1You didn't follow the core narrative of characters finding mutual respect, so the heart of the contest prompt was missing.
Total9.2/10

Feedback

  • In your story Dev turned into the "villain" instead of a flawed but purposeful character. This cut out the chance for the "unlikely friendship" theme to develop.
