John was resting in the evening. It was a long journey and he was tired. He felt sleepy. But Tina's way of talking, smile, and sweet voice couldn’t let him sleep. He starts imagining her. All of a sudden, Nandini, his wife, came to his mind. He realized, how supportive Nandini was to him. She stayed with him during his difficult times. Helped to overcome his struggling period. Stayed loyal when he was living abroad, far away from her. He decided to forget Tina. He fell asleep soon.

A couple of months passed, and John almost forgot Tina. Everything was fine as before. However, a heated conversation between John and Nandini ensued over a family matter. John was angry and stopped communicating with Nandini.

It was a rough week for John and he decided to visit Mount Ainsile to refresh his mind over the weekend. It was a beautiful day. He was enjoying the sunset from the top of the mountain. All of a sudden, he heard a sweet voice calling his name. He knows who she is.

"Tina. After a long time. How are you?" he smiled.
"Haha. I am so glad that you remembered my name." Tina smiled back.
"How could I forget your name? I am happy that we met again in a beautiful moment." John replied.
Together, they enjoyed the beautiful sunset from the top of Ainslie Mount.

The next two hours, they spend talking. The environment makes them close and tempted. They exchanged their personal contact information and left.

That night, John was thinking about Tina. She has been single for six months. Enjoying her single life. His wife Nandini is a cultural woman. He is a modern man. Tina is also a modern woman. He is thinking that he should hook up with Tina for a few days.

John and Tina started hanging out often, travelling together, and dating. On the other hand, John was avoiding Nandini after that argument. He is thinking about Tina more than Nandini.

Nandini felt guilty and thought she was thinking that for that argument, John was angry with her. As she has no idea about Tina.

John and Tina now have a strong relationship. They have been dating for almost 3 months. In the meantime, he ignored Nandini. Only a few routine talks, and that was not every day.

It was Karva Chauth evening. The Australian-Indian community arranged a festival on that. John alone joined the festival as his legal wife is not here. When he was heading back to his home, he realized that, he is an Indian where everyone prioritized cultures above all. He opened his social media and saw that Nandini shared a story of her Karva Chauth participation. John finds himself guilty. Even after his ignorance for almost 4 months, she completed her Karva Chauth for his safety and strength. He decided to end the relationship with Tina and ask for an apology from Nandini.

The next day, John called Nandini. After a few formal words, he briefly told everything to Nandini and asked for forgiveness. Nandini was shocked, silent. The moment passed, she replied,

I can't believe you anymore. What have you done? All the moments I passed without you, I always thought about you. You ignored me for a long time. I put my ego aside and try to make things normal. What did you do? Hook up with another woman you bearly know. You forget your culture, religion, and origin. Most of all, you forgot me, your wife, your struggling partner. You know how much I sacrificed to stay with you. Enough is enough. I can not forgive you. Never try to come to me.

She hung up the call. John was confused.

In the evening, a call John received from his parents. They informed that Nandini died. Doctors confirmed that it was a cardiac arrest. John decided to go to Delhi asap.

Tina was confused. All of a sudden, John stopped the communication. The first two days, he didn’t pick up her call. Then, for a week, his phone is switched off. She came to his house. A neighbour told her that John went to India to attend his late wife's funeral. She was shocked by hearing this. She decided to end the relationship with John, and she left. She can not marry a cheater.

John came back to Canberra. Failed to communicate with Tina. He went to her house. Her father was there. After knowing he is John, Tina's father said,

Thank you, son. Because you cheated on your wife, my daughter finally agreed to marry my partner's son. I just can't be grateful enough to you.

John broke down on his knees. Realized, this is the fate he deserves for his treason.
